On Wednesday September 17 the Men played a par event for a Club Trophy. The winner was Col McLaren with a brilliant score of +8.Kim Hutton won the Pro Pin on the 4th. Nearest the pins going to L Wise the 7th, T Snow 12th and R Davies the 14th.

Saturday was the mixed 4 BBB for the Nan Tuckwell Memorial. Gross winners D Williams and M Charleston. Gross runners up were R Gallagher and L Kempton. Net winners for the day were P Newby and Sean Wilson while S Smith and A Farlow were Nett runners up. Joan Hutton won the Crystal Room Putting voucher with 28 and M Davey winning the Pro pin on the 12th. Nearest the pins went to R Meehan 4th, Bill Miller 7th, C Hope 14th and M Gallagher 17th. Sean Wilson produced two wonderful shots having an eagle on the 11th.

Sunday’s event was an 18-hole Stoke event for the Bob Charleston Memorial. A great field of 76 golfers teed off with players from Armidale, Inverell, Bundarra, Deepwater, Emmaville, Guyra and Glen Innes. The A Grade gross winner was B Lanz with 72; gross runner up was R Gallagher 74. A Grade Nett winner J Crowhurst 66, Nett runner up was RBaker with 68 from Bundarra. B Grade gross winner was H Warlters 80, gross runner up J Hillard 83. B Grade Nett winner G Gilbert 65, Nett runner up G Carson 67 both from Armidale. C Grade gross winner DDunn 88, gross runner up C Hope 89. C Grade Nett winner R Stone 68, Nett runner up K Ranger 69 from Inverell. R Baker also won the Pro pin on the 7th with nearest the pins going to D Williams 4th, J Hillard 12th, G Cameron 14th and R Tutt 17th.

Saturday is a Medley Stroke for Bob Norris’s Trophy, Sunday is a Medley Stableford for Ian Jacobs Trophy and Wed October 1 will be a Stableford for a Club Trophy.
