Rees wins club trophy

On Wednesday July 16 the men played a par event for a Club Trophy.

The winner on the day was Robert Rees with an great score of +5.

Next were R Bruce +3, D Cameron +3 and N Lane +2. The Pro Pin was won by J Lawrence on the 12th, Nearest to pins went to visitor B Best 4th, N Archibald 7th, T Snow 14th and G Cameron on the 17th.

Saturday was a Medley Stroke for Geoff Hutchinson’s Trophy which was won by Phil Evans with 62 nett.The ball run down was T Hodder 67, R Davies 69, P Dawes 69. The Pro Pin on the 7th was won by R Rees, Nearest to pins went to G Cameron 4th, and K Kempton in his 1st game back after knee surgery on the 12th. The Glen Innes Services Club Crystal Room putting competition was taken out by Tony Hodder with 29 putts.

Sunday’s event was 4 ball best ball stroke for Duncan Hutchinson and Joe Lawrence’s trophy. The winners on the day were Bill Miller and Robert Bruce with great 60 nett.

Ball run down went to I Jacobs and D Williams 61, Sean Wilson and Buster Crowhurst 61, D Cameron and R Davies 61.

Nearest the pins went to M McConnell 4th, G Collett 7th, B Kerr 14th, and Greg McLaren won the pro pin on the 17th just getting inside Peter Goodwin.

Also on Sunday the mixed 4BBB Match play final was played between Mary Davey, Buster Crowhurst and Pru Newby, Sean Wilson with Mary and Buster the eventual winners.

Next weeks events are as follows, Saturday July 26 is a Medley Stroke for the over 50’s verse the under 50’s with the Trophy donated by C McLaren and N Hilton.

Sunday is the 27 hole Mixed Foursomes Championship. There is a time sheet operating for this event. Wednesday is a stableford event also for a club trophy.

The men’s 4BBB match play draw is on the notice board please take the time to check who you have drawn and organize a suitable time to play each round before the allotted date.
